Virtual Apprentice Graduation

Graduation, the event that every hopeful apprentice looks forward to. However due to Covid-19, DAF Truck UK apprentices were facing the possibility of not having a graduation ceremony at all.

This is where Big Sound Marketing came in. We were set the task by DAF Trucks UK to think of a creative solution for a high impact event for the apprentices and after spending the year honing in on our virtual event expertise – we were ready to take on the challenge.

Our solution was a one-hour virtual event, that consisted of a mixture of a live stream presentation and pre-recorded video content. Big Sound Marketing devised and produced all the content and created a technical solution for the streaming of the event.

The theme for the content was ‘putting the apprentice first’ and our aim was to make sure that the apprentices felt both involved and engaged. The pre-recorded video content included over 20 apprentices as well as Senior DAF Truck employees. The event was even co-hosted by two DAF Truck apprentices!

The planning and delivery led to a successful event that was viewed by over 400 people throughout the UK and the world.
